Routines

Ask any teacher and they’ll tell you how awful a day is when they haven’t properly had the time to settle the kids in in the morning. Greeting each other, knowing how to unpack and how to use their time while everyone else is settling in, being on the rug for morning meeting at the same time every day, reviewing the schedule, etc. These are routines we practiced from day one in September.

Books, Books, Books! I’m happy to finally be getting back to my “Currently Reading” series. It’s been almost a year since I last did a roundup of what I’ve been reading lately!

In September 2021, I found out that the San Francisco Museum of Art was doing a retrospective on Joan Mitchel. There was no way that I could take a trip to the west coast last year, and I felt so disappointed that I was going to miss what I knew would be an incredible exhibit.
