PPP: Collage Explorations
Saturday, February 28, from 1:00-3:00pm-Cecy’s Gallery in Durham
Paper, Paint, Play: Collage Explorations: In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll explore collage as a flexible, low-pressure creative practice. This class introduces collage techniques through guided prompts and open work time as you:
• Work with a variety of papers, images, and textures
• Explore composition, layering, and adhesive techniques
• Create collage pieces that can stand alone or be used in journals or mixed media work
This class is suitable for beginners and anyone looking to loosen up and work intuitively with paper. All materials are provided; you’re welcome to bring personal papers, photos, or ephemera you’d like to incorporate.
Mixed Media: Open Studio
Thursdays April 9, 16, 23 from 1:00-3:00pm at The ArtsCenter in Carborro
This open studio–style class invites students to work on their own art journaling projects in a relaxed, supportive, and inspiring environment. You’re welcome to continue an ongoing journal or begin something new.
I will facilitate the sessions by sharing my usual stash of mixed media supplies and offering optional prompts, ideas, and creative nudges to help you explore new approaches and develop journal spreads at your own pace.
Whether you’re new to art journaling or an experienced maker, this workshop provides the time, space, and encouragement to deepen your creative practice and reconnect with your journal.
