My art journals are where most things begin. They’re messy, colorful, full of questions—and one of my favorite places to be. They are vessels for play and process, where mistakes become maps as ideas unfold without pressure. I make marks with whatever’s nearby: paint, pencils, pastels, scraps of paper. Sometimes it’s just about moving my hands; other times, it’s where I work out an idea that’s been lingering.

Some pages stay tucked away, just for me. Others become the seeds of something more—paintings, collage pieces, or something I’ll teach in a workshop. Each page is a conversation, a place to wonder, to learn, and let curiosity lead the way.
