Currently Teaching: Paper, Paint Play

Part of my job as a mixed media artsit and creative teacher is to get people to make fun, crazy messes. Such is the case of my current class Paper, Paint, Play: A Mixed Media Sampler. I’m taking 10 students on a little journey through mark making, gelli printing, collaging, keeping an art journal, and more. Here’s what we’ve been up to so far…

We’ll be working on preparing our journal backgrounds this week, with lots of collage and special projects to come.

I thought a mixed media sampler would be a perfect way to crack open the creative in each of my students. So many opportunities to play with different materials and techniques to find their artsy courage. i can’t wait to see what they create next!
