Keeping a journal practice: NYC

Hello Creative friends,

Welcome to my new blog! I’ve kept a blog on and off for a few years now; my first on blogger and the second one on Wordpress. I’ve moved it on to my website for the sake of keeping things tidy & in one place (as well as for my sanity)…

I had the good fortune of traveling to NYC for a couple of weeks recently and it made June go by like a flash! 
My journeys back home to Brooklyn are usually rushed, scrambling to see as many people as I can and always feeling like it wasn't enough time. But this trip was different. I got to meander through favorite neighborhoods, visit museums & The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, visit with teacher friends, spend quality time with my sisters, and eat all the carbs (think pizza, bagels and croissants)! You can get a peak of my NYC adventures here, saved on my instagram highlights.

Two weeks is a long time to go without touching paper and paint. I made sure to pack a few art goodies that would allow me to keep my journal practice going while staying with my sis in Brooklyn. I've been playing with iMovie and youtube so, you can watch a short video of what I packed and actually accomplished, below.

I’m looking forward to more art journaling this summer. What creative endeavors will you be taking on???
